My Story

Why did you decide to join Armed Women of America?
I knew that regular practice and was essential to maintaining the skills I had acquired. The monthly meetings provided a dedicated monthly range time in my calendar.
How has being a member changed your life?

Though I initially joined for the regular practice, I found that the classroom time gave me continuing education every month so that I also maintained a good mindset. The networking introduced me to additional training opportunities to grow my skills even more. The fellowship with like-minded ladies brought incredible friendships and encouragement.

Because of AWA, I became a certified instructor and now help other women overcome their fears and learn to protect themselves and their families.

When you look at yourself & your AWA sisters, how would you define “Armed Women of America”, not the organization but the women who so boldly stand with you on the mission to be your own self-protector?
These women are all strong. Many of them have overcome incredible challenges. They each grow at their own individual pace but are committed to continuing their skills. And each one is willing to share her strengths and expertise to help others.
