OFFICIAL RAFFLE RULES

Eligibility:

Armed Women of America’s Raffle is open to participants located in the state of Arizona at the time of purchase who are at least twenty-one (21) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Armed Women of America, the Board of Directors, their spouses, and other companies associated with the promotion of the Raffle are not eligible to participate in the Raffle. The Raffle is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations. 

Void where prohibited by law. Only individuals located in the state of Arizona at the time of purchase of the raffle ticket and who are 21 years or older may enter. 

All Federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) rules apply.

The Raffle is sponsored by Armed Women of America, located at 3509 E. Shea Blvd. #107, Phoenix, AZ 85028.

Agreement to Official Rules:

Participation in the Raffle constitutes the Entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of Armed Women of America, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

By obtaining a raffle ticket, you attest that you may legally possess the firearm(s) won, have intention of using the firearm(s) only in a legal and safe manner, and will or have already obtained instruction on the safe use and operation of the firearm(s) won.

Prize Drawing and Winner:

Firearms awarded as prizes will be distributed through a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer (FFL) and only in compliance with federal and state laws and applicable local ordinances, including the state laws for the legal residence of the winning ticket holder. The winner must be able to legally possess the firearm(s) in its factory configuration and following the completion of all required federal and state background checks prior to taking possession of the firearm(s). 

The winning ticket holder must make transfer through the Armed Women of America selected dealer and in accordance with all applicable laws. Armed Women of America solely reserves the right to change the location and/or dealer for any transfer.

The winner will pay for reasonable shipping expenses, taxes, transfer fees, FFL fees, and other expenses.

In the event the winner needs to have the firearm(s) won transferred to their local FFL dealer closer to their residence, shipping and any other additional costs involved with the transfer will be the responsibility of the winner, and arrangements must be made directly with AWA’s selected FFL dealer.

At no time will Armed Women of America take possession of any of the firearms involved in this Raffle; winners will receive firearms directly from an FFL dealer only, all applicable laws will apply.

If a winner is ineligible to receive a prize under relevant state, federal, or local laws and regulations, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will be chosen. 

The prize winner is solely responsible for any applicable federal, state, and local taxes, including income taxes, and all expenses or fees associated with prize acceptance, receipt, and use. Prizes are non-transferable. There will be no prize substitution. The winner will be issued an IRS form 1099 for the value of the prize as necessary.

Entry constitutes consent for the use of the name and image of the winner. Raffle e-ticket purchases are not tax deductible. There will be no refunds for tickets purchased.

Prizes will be given away at the conclusion of the Raffle. There are no physical tickets. Ticket numbers will be assigned after all 1,000 e-tickets are sold. Ticket numbers will be made available to all participants via email before the drawing. 

The winning number will be determined by the Arizona Lottery Pick Three game (straight bet) on the specified date of the Arizona Lottery Pick Three drawing at 7:00pm Mountain Standard Time.

Winner Notification:

The potential winner will be notified by phone and/or email. Potential winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. 

Prizes are not transferable; the person designated on the ticket must claim the prize. All prizes must be claimed and transferred within 90 days of the date the ticket is drawn.

In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, and/or does not respond to notification from Armed Women of America within seven (7) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, Armed Women of America may select an alternate potential winner through a random drawing from among all remaining eligible e-ticket holders. 

Prizes:

Grand Prize: Two (2) Ruger Max 9 pistols, two (2) Gunsite 150 Pistol Class Certificates, and two (2) one-year chapter memberships to Armed Women of America.

General Conditions: 

In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Raffle is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to, fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Raffle is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Armed Women of America in its sole discretion, Armed Women of America may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Raffle to address the impairment and then resume the Raffle in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Raffle and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Armed Women of America reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Raffle or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Raffle may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and should such an attempt be made, Armed Women of America reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney’s fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by Armed Women of America to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. 

Release and Limitations of Liability 

By participating in the Raffle, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Armed Women of America, and their affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Raffle, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the “Released Parties)” from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Raffle or receipt or use of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto), including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Raffle, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Raffle; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) any other errors or problems in connection with the Raffle, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Raffle or the announcement of the winner; or (e) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Raffle or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize (including any travel or activity related thereto). Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Raffle, and in no event shall the Entrant be entitled to receive attorney’s fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Raffle. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages. 

  

Disputes 

Except where prohibited, each Entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Raffle or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in Arizona. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants’ rights, and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Armed Women of America in connection with the Raffle shall be governed by and construed in accordance with, the laws of Arizona, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Arizona. 

Privacy 

Entry in the Raffle constitutes consent to the transfer of the personal information collected from the Entrant to the Armed Women of America for the purposes of administering the Raffle and for such other purposes to which the Entrant may consent as outlined herein or on the Raffle website. All information submitted as part of this Raffle will be treated in accordance with the privacy policy of Armed Women of America.

 

More specifically, Armed Women of America may collect information that you provide to enter the Raffle and will use personal information you provide to enter the Raffle to actually conduct the Raffle. 

Armed Women of America will provide the personal information you provide to enter this Raffle to third-party fulfillment companies, only to administer the Raffle and deliver prizes to winners. 

The winner agrees to allow Armed Women of America to publish their first name only on Armed Women of America’s website and social media pages. 

Use of Information

By entering the Raffle, information about entrants will be collected and processed by Armed Women of America. The information collected includes entrants’ names, mailing addresses, email address, and other information provided by entrants at the time of entry or at the time of prize redemption. This information may be retained and used by Armed Women of America for any business purpose, including, without limitation, mailing lists for future contacts, advertising, or promotional purposes. Entrants may be contacted by Armed Women of America with future promotional offers about its products and/or services.

Change to Official Rules: 

Armed Women of America reserves the right to make changes to these Official Rules at any time and for any reason without notice. Any third-party trademarks mentioned herein are the property of their respective trademark owners. The use or mention of such third-party trademarks in these Official Rules or in the Raffle is solely for descriptive purposes and shall in no way imply an endorsement or sponsorship of the Raffle. You are providing your information to Armed Women of America, and the information you provide will only be used in accordance with the Official Rules of this Raffle and Armed Women of America’s Privacy Policy.
