My Story – Rhonda E.

My Story

Rhonda E. (Lake City, ID Chapter)

Why did you decide to join Armed Women of America?
I joined TWAW Shooting Chapters after having following Carrie Lightfoot for several years. I found that she represented everything I stood for. We did not have a chapter in my area, so I joined a chapter 90 minutes north of me and started the process to open a chapter in Coeur d’Alene, ID. My chapter opened in the Fall of 2019 and I had the pleasure of leading it until January 2023. The Chapter is now in the hands of new leadership, but continues on!

How has being a member changed your life?
Being able to teach so many ladies how to shoot has been very helpful. Each woman has had different things that they needed help with, and being able to help them become better trained with their guns has been uplifting and heartwarming knowing that I’m making a difference in my community.

When you look at yourself & your AWA sisters, how would you define “Armed Women of America”, not the organization but the women who so boldly stand with you on the mission to be your own self-protector?
We are all very open-minded to learning everything we need to make the right decisions for our individual lifestyles.
