The mission of Armed Women of America Inc. to educate and empower women in a safe and non-threatening environment for their effective and responsible self-defense with a firearm. While Armed Women of America Inc. does not engage in direct political activity or advocacy, we recognize that every individual has the right to protect themselves and their property against harm. Armed Women of America Inc. encourages chapter members to become members of the National Rifle Association to join their efforts to protect the Second Amendment, which guarantees the right to keep and bear arms, and advance the shooting sports. The NRA-Institute for Legislative Action is an important resource for chapter members to educate themselves on their state’s firearm laws and to learn more about legislation that could potentially impact shooters. Chapters should refrain from political activity and discussion during meetings to not distract from the main objective of welcoming women into the world of shooting.
Naturally as a Chapter Leader members will seek your advice and opinions on political subjects.
