Gunsite Announces Opening of Gunsite Performance Center

Just in time for the Gunsite 50th Anniversary celebration, Gunsite Academy is proud to announce the opening of the new Gunsite Performance Center (GPC).

The new GPC — essentially a special “academy within an academy” — is a series of three stair-stepping courses focusing primarily on speed and accuracy rather than tactics and doctrine, topics which existing Gunsite classes have taught in expert detail for nearly five decades.

The GPC classes are designed to bring students into the fast-paced world of performance shooting. Guided by Gunsite’s world-class instructors, students will drill down to the granular level of their own skills and learn to develop great efficiency and, ultimately, speed.

The three new classes are:

  • 101 – Setting the standard
  • 202 – Exploring the limits
  • 303 – Honing the skills

The first two classes will be taught by experienced senior Gunsite instructors and competitors such as Steve Tarani, Lew Gosnell, Randy Watt and others. The third level will be instructed by renowned national and international competitive shooters.

GPC classes aren’t for beginners, and students will have to meet *certain expectations and requirements before being allowed to participate. However, for someone looking to dramatically increase their shooting speed and accuracy, the GPC is the world’s new Center of Excellence for performance shooting.

Gunsite CEO Ken Campbell said, “Gunsite shall always be true to our fighting doctrine, but Jeff Cooper was cutting-edge and constantly evolving — and we continue to do the same. If you want to focus on tactics, we invite you to our traditional Gunsite Academy courses but for those who want to shoot fast and accurate, the GPC is the number one destination to get second-to-none instruction.”
