With more than 345 chapters around the country and nearly 11,000 members, The Well Armed Woman (Armed Women of America) is one the largest firearm training groups dedicated to educating women on firearm safety, gun care and handling.

Now Ruger has announced its continued support as a .50 Caliber Sponsor of Armed Women of America, Inc. Annual National Leadership Conference, which is being held virtually from Sept. 21 through Sept. 27, 2020. The conference is an event designed to educate, equip and empower nearly 300 Armed Women of America Chapter Leaders and Certified Firearms Instructors from across the country through training courses, educational seminars and industry panels.

Ruger will be supporting this year’s conference through two ambassador-led virtual training sessions: “Getting Geared Up for Hunting Season with Kristy Titus” and “Firearms Training From Home with Maggie Reese Voigt.”

“The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapters has done an impressive job pivoting in this challenging landscape to ensure this important event takes place for a seventh year in a row,” said Ruger President and CEO Chris Killoy. “Access to firearms education and training is more important than ever and we are proud to be able to support such a dedicated organization whose focus is just that.”

“We are incredibly grateful for the support Ruger has shown our organization and women shooters everywhere,” said Armed Women of America National Director Marti Stonecipher. “Their support makes it possible to gather our leadership for training every year, which reaches thousands of women and changes lives.”
