Membership Age Requirement:
I confirm that I am at least 18 (AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IN, KS, LA, ME, MI, MN, NC, ND, NM[19+], NV, OK, OR, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY only) or 21+ years of age. I also confirm I am legally eligible to own and purchase firearms, including handguns, and am not a prohibited person.

Cancellation and Auto-Renewals
If I have selected auto-renewal, I understand that my membership will renew in one year unless I change my membership billing option via the Manage My Membership section of the website. I understand I can also call Armed Women of America member services to opt-out of auto-renewal or by emailing info@armedwomen.org. 

Membership Dues – Membership Dues are Non-Refundable (eff 1/1/2016)
If a member requests to terminate her membership prior to automatic renewal, the membership will be placed on manual renewal. If the member does not contact the office or change membership billing options and renews automatically, they have 30 days to request a refund. If the refund is requested after a renewal or new membership has been paid but prior to shipment of a kit, they will receive a full refund of their membership fee, less the non-refundable application fee. If a member requests a refund within 30 days after a renewal or new membership has been placed and after shipment of a kit, they may receive a refund of their membership fees, less any application fee and a $15 processing fee. No refunds will be given if a request is made more than 30 days after membership payment. (eff 4/4/19)

Chapter Closures
If there is a chapter within 45 minutes of the closing chapter, memberships will be transferred there or the member given the option to join the Anywhere Virtual Online (AVO) Chapter, and no refunds will be issued. If there is not a chapter within 45 minutes, pro-rated refunds may be available only for memberships with 6 full months remaining. Memberships with less than 6 full months are not eligible for refunds but will be transferred to the AVO Chapter. (eff 11/10/2025)

Membership May Be Revoked
I understand that Armed Women of America reserves the right to terminate a membership for various reasons including falsifying an application, unsafe behavior which puts oneself or others at risk and failure to comply with instructions of chapter leaders and range safety officers. 

Release & Waiver of Liability
I agree and acknowledge that I am participating in the Monthly Shooting Education and Meetup Event (“Activity”) hosted by Armed Women of America on my own accord. I give this acknowledgment freely and knowingly and I represent and warrant that I am physically and mentally fit and able to participate, and I do hereby assume responsibility for my own well-being.

I am participating in the Activity with the full knowledge that there are risks associated with the use of firearms and being in proximity of their use. By participating in the Activity, I may be exposed to certain dangers, risks or hazards, including (but not limited to) damage to property and serious physical or emotional injury, including partial or total disability, dismemberment, paralysis or death. Possible known and unknown injuries may include, but are not limited to, being injured in any manner by myself or others, shooting others, partial or total loss of eyesight or hearing, inhalation or other harmful contact with lead or contaminants, being struck by flying or falling debris, projectiles, or ricochets and possible equipment failure and/or malfunction of my own or others’ equipment. I agree to assume the full risk, including risk which is not specifically foreseeable, of any injuries, including death, damages or loss, regardless of severity, which I may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with or associated with the Activity. I agree to adhere to the policies and guidelines of the host range. I agree to adhere to the instructions of instructors and staff and agree to be responsible for my own safety during my participation in those activities.

In consideration of the right to participate in the Activity, I on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns hereby waive any and all rights or claims I may have as a result of participation in the Activity against Armed Women of America, and its directors, officers, employees, members, staff, and all individuals assisting in instructing and conducting these activities, and I hereby fully release and discharge them from any and all claims resulting from any personal or emotional injuries, including partial or total disability, dismemberment, paralysis, death, damages or loss, which may accrue to me or my heirs arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in the Activity.

I further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Armed Women of America, its directors, officers, employees, members, staff, and all individuals assisting in instructing and conducting these activities, from any and all claims resulting from injuries, including death, damages, or loss, which may accrue to me or my heirs arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in the Activity.

I affirm that I am of the age of consent. I freely agree to this Release and Waiver of Liability and certify that I have read and understood its content fully. I am aware that by continuing with the purchase/renewal of membership, I release my rights and enter into a legally binding contract with the Armed Women of America.

By renewing my membership, I am acknowledging my continued agreement to the terms and conditions.
