Our Board

Michelle Camp started her first chapter in January 2014. She leads the Jordan Valley Chapter, serves as a Utah State leader, and has served on the board since 2015.

Michelle grew up shooting, but she discovered her passion and desire to help train and develop women shooters when she found Armed Women of America. As an Armed Women of America volunteer, Michelle has obtained many instructor certifications, including NRA Instructor, USCCA Instructor, and has completed the Gunsite Academy AWA Instructor Course. Michelle also trains new instructors as a USCCA Training Counselor.

Michelle has been involved in the debt collection industry since 1988, where she is active at both the State and National levels.

Michelle has a passion for the Second Amendment and is active in the 2A community in Utah. During the legislative session, you will find her working with citizens and legislators to help protect our Second Amendment rights. Michelle is dedicated to developing leaders and instructors in her State and providing excellent experiences for her chapter members. Michelle lives in West Jordan, Utah, with her husband, Toby. In her free time, she enjoys reading and studying history.

Jan Ennenga has been a Armed Women of America member since 2013, joining the Yuma, Arizona chapter in its first year. She became a chapter leader in 2014, was named Chapter Leader of the Year in 2018 and has served as Arizona State Leader since 2018. She has also earned the coveted Armed Women of America Cheerleader Award which she keeps on her desk as a daily reminder of the important work that Armed Women of America carries out each and every day as chapter leaders across the nation invest their time and talents to helping women gain life changing skills.

Jan’s vocation is association management, and she has nearly four decades of experience in non-profit governance and currently manages a trade organization. She is a Central Valley California native, where she and her husband also ran a small cattle operation, raised horses and for a time, operated a retail firearms business before she and her husband relocated to Yuma, AZ to be near family.

Jan is a certified instructor. Her National Rifle Association (NRA) credentials include Pistol, Rifle, CCW, Personal Protection, Refuse to Be a Victim® and is a Chief Range Safety Officer. She is also a certified United States Concealed Carry (USCCA) Instructor in Conceal Carry and Home Defense and Women’s Handgun and Self Defense Fundamentals. She is also a Armed Women of America Certified Instructor. She has trained with a variety of instructors over the years, was a competitive shooter while in California, and is a graduate of Gunsite Academy courses. Jan continues her own training to better serve her students and chapter members and to identify and correct her personal protection deficiencies. She is passionate about Armed Women of America and our mission educating, equipping, empowering, AND encouraging women in gaining the skills necessary to protect themselves (and those in their care) safely and responsibly.

While familiar with firearms, it was becoming a member of Armed Women of America seven years ago that fired the passion for teaching others about personal safety and firearms. She serves her local chapter as part of the leadership team, is the Arkansas State Leader and a Regional Trainer. Jamie was honored as State Leader of the Year (2019) and Regional Trainer of the Year (2021).

Jamie holds multiple NRA certifications, USCCA certifications, Rangemaster Firearms Instructor and Combative Pistol. She has trained with Active Self Protection and The Complete Combatant. Recently she added IBDD Instructor to her credentials. She attended classes with the FBI Citizen’s Academy and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the FBI Citizen’s Academy Alumni.

Jamie works as the office manager for a local construction company. Alongside her husband Darral, Jamie teaches firearms/self-protection classes monthly as well as attending competitive shooting matches. She is a 30+ year volunteer leader in the Boy Scouts of America where she develops activity and training curriculum for both youth and adults. Additionally, she serves on the National Shooting Sports Committee for the Boy Scouts and is a National Camping School Director.

Jessamy Bright is an Instructor, NRA Training Counselor, wife, mother, and homeschool teacher, based out of Southeast Ohio.  Her passion and mission for the past decade has been elevating the knowledge and skills of the surrounding communities by providing student and instructor level training in firearms and personal protection through her training business, Patronus Training.

She is a perpetual student who loves regularly attending training courses for personal and professional growth, challenging herself continually to learn new things and expand her skillset.  She thrives on welcoming new shooters into the world of firearms for both personal protection and sport, and building strong working relationships and friendships with folks in the 2A community

She has served Armed Women of America in many capacities since 2014…  Currently as the founding Chapter Leader/Lead Instructor for the Southeast Ohio Chapter, based out of Middleport, Ohio; as the Instructional Standards & Development Program Regional Trainer for Region 14 (Ohio and Kentucky) and Region 18 (Pennsylvania, Vermont and Delaware); and formerly as a State Leader for Ohio.

She holds numerous Instructor certifications with the NRA, USCCA, and The Well Armed Woman, and is an IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) Certified Safety Officer and competitor.
